Spheroidal Graphite Iron Rolls Manufacturer
Shree Gautam Rolls is recognised as one of the reliable S.G. Iron Rolls Manufacturers in India. Customised to clients requirement assuring the best quality which is used in TMT Rolling Mill, Rebar Rolling Mill, Wire Rod Rolling Mill, Seamless Steel Tube Mills, Intermediate Stand, Finishing Stand, Structural mill, Merchant Mill, Roughing stands.
S.G. Iron (Nodular) or Ductile Iron Rolls are available in a wide range of hardness & composition for a variety of application. The matrix structure varies from Ferrito-Pearlitic, Pearlitic to Bainitic & Martensitic together with different carbide contents and graphite in the form of spheroids / nodules. Some critical grades are heat treated for higher strength. Chemical composition and structure are chosen to suit specific application.
These static cast Rolls are structurally characterized by nodular graphite. High Tensile strength and deep hardness penetration are few properties that nodular graphite gives these Metal Rolls. Because of excellent mechanical & material properties these Metal Rolls are capable of withstanding heavy loads and hence these Rolls are used in various Mills that produce different products. These Rolls are structurally made up of cementite and nodular graphite. Sufficient water cooling is a necessity for satisfactory performance. Depending upon the required mechanical properties i.e. wear resistance, Roll hardness, strength, of Rolls, wide range of Rolls:
S.G. Iron Pearlitic Rolls & S.G. Iron Accicular Rolls can be made by alloying with nickel, molybdenum and chromium for added strength and deep hardness penetration.
S.G. Iron Pearlitic Rolls
Pearlitic Spheroidal Graphite Rolls have a thick layer of cast iron with nodular graphite, the name of such roll is based on the fact that the material consists of nodular graphite and carbides in a pearlitic matrix, the softest grades have a pearlitic matrix containing ferrite around the graphite nodules, while the higher hardness grades have a complete pearlitic matrix, the carbide content increases proportionately with the hardness.
S.G. Iron Accicular Rolls
Acicular Spheroidal Graphite Rolls also have a thick layer of cast iron with nodular graphite, here, the name of such roll is based on the fact that the material consists of nodular graphite and carbides in a pearlitic - bainitic matrix, the carbide content is considerably higher in the harder grades than the softer ones.
Applications
- Roughing and intermediate rolls for slabbing and blooming mills.
- Roughing, intermediate and finishing for rail and structural mills.
- Finishing for wire rod and narrow strip mills.
